Question about AlphaSim

 Hello,

I would like to use AlphaSim in REST, but am not clear on how it determines the smoothness of data in a given ROI. If I understood it correctly, prior to using AlphaSim in AFNI, the residual time series from a given GLM are run through 3dFWHMx program to determine the data FWHM. How is this handled in REST?

Usually the smoothness is related the smooth kernel used in spatial smooth step. Some people used such a kernel.

The smoothness kernel estimation program will be included in REST in the next release. No you can find an early version called y_smoothest in http://pub.restfmri.net/index.php?dir=&file=Programs_YAN.zip
