Dear Sirs,
I am new in using REST. When I try to calculate Functional Connectivity I obtain the error messages copied below and reported in the attached files. When I restart matlab and run rest_Fix_Read_Write_Error a dialog window suggests me to install spm and compile the mex files correctly according to http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/SPM/Installation_on_64bit_Linux. I use windows7 32bit, matlab R2008a, REST_V1.7_120101 and spm8. Do you have any suggestion to give me? Reho and ALFF work properly.
best regards
stefania

Re
Hi!
Before running "rest_Fix_Read_Write_Error", please ensure SPM8 is correctly installed and added in path with sub-folders.
In addition, do not use "space" or any other special characters in your path of data.

Re
Have you followed "Please restart MATLAB, and run "rest_Fix_Read_Write_Error" before starting anything." And what's the response?
In addition, please do not use Chinese and special characters (even space) in the path.

I am not able to solve the problem. When I run rest_Fix_Read_Write_Error I obtain the following message: "Please install SPM5 (or above release) and compile the mex files correctly according to http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/SPM/Installation_on_64bit_Linux". I'd like to know what is the way you solve it.

For "Please install SPM5 (or above release) and compile the mex files correctly according to http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/SPM/Installation_on_64bit_Linux".
Have you installed SPM? Does SPM work?

Re
Then what's the problem you encountered?
If your SPM8 work properly, then you will not encounter: "run rest_Fix_Read_Write_Error I obtain the following message: "Please install SPM5 (or above release) and compile the mex files correctly according to http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/SPM/Installation_on_64bit_Linux".".
In addition, please do not any special characters (even space) in your data path.

Re
Hi!
This error occurs when writing the ROI file to temp dir with your username (There is a dot "." in your user name).
Please download the new rest_SphereROI.m and replace the original one. Then they will work properly.
